When coming up with a gesture, I don’t use any reference, but once it comes time to finish the drawing, well, I’ll look at everything from Victoria’s Secret catalogs to Maxim to my shapely wife for input. I love how he goes “from Victoria’s Secret catalogs to Maxim” as if he’s showing that he references from a wide variety of female body types, clothing and poses.  This explains a lot.  Also, I don’t know if that’s really a compliment to his wife if he honestly believes she looks like his drawings.  I hope that her spine is okay at least. His fear that Wonder Girl’s waist is too big for a girl explains a lot about his art too (and that he fears “man hands”). This is golden.
