Boobs Don't Work That Way

I don’t know! I guess it’s weird quirk of censorship. The line has to be drawn somewhere and the powers that be drew that line at nipples apparently.

 Comics, aren’t the only ones guilty of this. Fredrick’s for example, have Photoshoped nipples out of ads before. I understand why a company might find it necessary to do this; I’ve just never understood the logic behind it. 

 I have no idea what makes a topless women more offensive or indecent than a pantsless one. And I really don’t understand why nipples are censored when boobs are not. But then it’s also important to remember that it’s not comics, or other media who set these kind of standards, it’s the people who regulate them (either official groups or just a local community).    

Oh and if you are going to censor nipples, please hide them behind something they can actually fit behind. It just looks so strange otherwise.

Edited to say that I don’t have any ill will for the person who runs BVA. In fact, I feel a bit bad about the fact that we are discussing their blog while they seem to be away on vacation. 

So, I was more than happy to devote this day  this discussion, because I think it’s an interesting and important one, but I’d appreciate it if we could not use my ask box to bash other people. I’m all for a discussion, but telling someone to shut the fuck up isn’t really adding to the conversation. 

Yes, but I understand how they could hurt people’s feelings.  Especially since a lot of blogs tend to focus on beginning artists, who may not take negative criticism as well. Not that I think anyone who runs a bad art blog is a mean spirited bully, because well that would be kind of hypocritical. I just can see Maverynthia’s point.

No, okay. That’s a fair question. I mean, it’s definitely something I try really hard not do with this blog.  I just happened to be aware of it ( someone submitted a post from there. A submission I chose not to post I believe) and thought it might be what the asker was looking for.
